Charmza of the week
The headlines yesterday screamed, “Proteas break Pakistan hearts”.
Indeed, the hearts were broken, but for us as South Africans there was great jubilation and ululation on Friday – a close shave it was, but victory, nonetheless. And there is no better description: we broke their hearts. It was music to our ears.
A one-wicket victory it might have been. But that is good enough. At the time of going to print, we were holding thumbs for the Springboks in their clash against the mighty New Zealand in a World Cup clash.
