The SAPS in Kwazulu-Natal under the leadership of Commissioner General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi is not backing down when it comes to wiping out crime in the province. Â
Since April, the police have killed at least 40 suspects. Recently, the police shot dead nine suspected criminals in various areas in the province. Â
Mkhwanazi and his team were heaped with praises by ordinary citizens around the country for taking a firm stand towards dealing with criminality in KZN. Â
The time of criminals being treated with kid gloves is over. Â
Police from other provinces should take a lesson from KZN. Â
Big up to General Mkhwanazi and his team for the noble work they do. However, should cops exceed the boundaries of self-defence during their fight against crime, they must be brought to book.Â
