Durban residents suffer devastating tornado

Heavy rains on Tuesday afternoon wreaked havoc in several areas around eThekwini metro.

Inanda township and some areas in northern Durban were severely hit when torrential rains accompanied by strong winds battered people’s homes leaving a trail of mayhem, destruction, and misery. Several homes had their roofs blown away while walls also collapsed.

KZN EMS spokesperson Robert McKenzie said two people suffered minor injuries during the freak storm.
