Johannesburg- One of Scandal!’s newest additions to the cast Sihle Ndaba talks about life after Gomora and her new role Duduzile Kubeka.
The award-winning actress recently spoke to Sunday World about her new character Duduzile and the transition from her previous role, on Mzansi Magic’s Gomora.

Duduzile is Jojo and Zenzele’s sister making her the Kubekas only daughter. Dudu is a 26-year-old business management graduate whose skills are instrumental in the family business.
She gets so consumed by work that she often sacrifices her freedom to chase the dream.
“Duduzile is such a beast, I like to call her the savage, she’s fancy, boujee and also very nasty. She is always trying to please her father and when daddy says something must be done she’ll do it.”

“Dudu is about to shock viewers at home, there are a lot of good surprises , I would love to share more but that would be spoiling the storyline and you wouldn’t tune in,” she jokingly said.
Sihle believes that she is very blessed especially with covid-19 and the transition from Gomora to Scandal!. Luckily for her she also got role on Isibaya which also later was canned on Mzansi Magic.
“The transition from Gomora to Scandal! was very welcomed, its been a challenge though trying to figure out who Dudu is. I’m still getting to know who Dudu is and having fun with the character as well.”

Miss Manzi which was the previous role she played on Gomora, which received a lot of criticism is way different from the role that she currently now plays on Scandal!.
“The backlash of my previous character mostly happened on social media but Thank God for masks I was able to deal and avoid being attacked for that character I played.”
Sihle believes that her previous role was able to educate people in the community about GBV and that it can happen to boys and men too.
“Duduzile is here to stay and viewers can expect more, and love makes the world go around, so there are definitely some love interests in store for Dudu.”
Sihle has been in the industry for 13 years and when covid-19 started she was not worried because she has been freelancing. Being the type of artist that she is that meant she still had other stuff that kept her going ,such as doing voice overs, commercials and other stuff.
When Sihle got the role of Scandal! she had moved back home and not because of covid-19 and not her finding a job, but she needed the rest and to also take care of her family.

“I didn’t quite expect it but it was a good thing I was home because when I shared the news with my family, I was able to see the reactions on their faces and their excitement.”
