About the Marshalltown fire at a hijacked Joburg building: ActionSA leader Herman Mashaba was ignored when he was Joburg mayor and attempted to make the issue a top priority.
Instead, political opportunists branded him a xenophobe for stating the obvious that most occupants of these buildings are foreign nationals. He commissioned numerous investigations, and this week revealed he had submitted a copy of one to the Union Buildings, and he was blue-ticked. Politicians such as the president, who now plead ignorance, have obviously known about the problem.
