Johannesburg – Britain is at it again.
From next month, vaccinated visitors from the US, Israel, and Australia will be allowed to enter England without quarantine.
But fully dosed people from many other countries, including South Africa, will be subjected to a 10-day isolation period.
Read that again and tell me if this does not smack of “colonial mentality” as local vaccinologist, professor Shabir Madhi, called it this week.

First, we were told to take these vaccines, most of which were developed in the West, including Britain, but seemingly these are not good enough to build immunity, depending on which country they were administered.
South Africa even submitted itself to trial the AstraZeneca vaccine produced by the University of Oxford, which is based in Britain.
This colonial outpost, which once wielded so much power over the world, views us from the same lens as Donald Trump, who called ours sh**t hole countries.
The question is, what is it that Britain is not telling us about these vaccines, that even when we are jabbed, we are considered infectious.
Doubters have already cautioned about vaccines produced from the West.
Sadly, Africa has not advanced to develop its own vaccines, and we have to depend on our colonial masters. Our remedies are also viewed with suspicion unless endorsed by the West.
Remember last year when tried and tested lengana/mhlonyana was deemed appropriate to steam with when one had a fever?
This remedy, which grows in southern Africa, has been used for centuries but at the advent of Covid-19, the West suddenly said the overuse of it will cause kidney problems and other maladies.
Well, to hell with that!
Queen Elizabeth’s crown is decorated with jewels looted from South Africa but our people are not good enough to enter her country without draconian measures being imposed on them.
The so-called First World countries showed their true colours when they stockpiled more vaccines than they needed. This was in the early days of the pandemic.
They hogged them even when the rest of us were unvaccinated.
This bloody Covid-19 arrived on our shores from Europe and now we are being discriminated against as if we’re lepers.
I do not know about you, but I do not intend to visit Britain any time soon, their neo-colonialism should be eradicated.
To hell with Britain!
