The EFF in Free State has accused leaders of the ANC-led Mangaung metro municipality of destroying the lives of Bloemfontein residents.
EFF regional chairperson, who is also the party’s caucus whip in Mangaung, Gopolang Lipale, said it is disappointing that the municipality has fallen into pieces and failed the residents of the city.
“From the very first day that this misruling ANC has been given the mandate to govern Mangaung by the citizens, it has been a very tumultuous period with the power play of the warring factions of the ANC taking centre stage,” said Lipale.
“It is almost a year that this administration has been in power, and to date the ANC and its unfit stooges have dismally failed to improve the conditions of our people. One will remember the shenanigans of the budget vote that the ANC used to hold service delivery at ransom. Not once or twice did it have to be postponed, with neither faction willing to prioritise the services that our people needed.
“In those postponements, the dignity of our people kept being eroded with sewerage surrounding their homes. While the ANC was busy tearing itself apart, it was the common folk that was subjected to dirty drinking water.”
