The raging factional battle between IFP leader Velenkosini Hlabisa and the party’s KwaZulu-Natal provincial Thami Ntuli has spilled over into the Abaqulusi municipality in Vryheid, KwaZulu-Natal’s Zululand district.
Councillors who belong to Hlabisa’s faction have suspended municipal manager Zwelihle Dhlamini, who is linked to Ntuli, on alleged trumped-up charges, which include misconduct, among others.
He was replaced with Hlabisa’s emissary, Sibongokuhle Dlamini,
