Achievements’ list has been ordered
Minister of Communications,Telecommunications and Postal Services Stella Ndabeni Abrahams has, following her suspension, pleaded with her communication teams to cobble together a list of her achievements during her tenure as deputy minister and minister respectively.
In what seems like an apparent bid to prop up her image, which took a serious baering when President Cyril Ramaphosa placed her on two-month special leave for violating Covid-19 regulations, the Young Lion seems set for a political “face lift”.
The president suspended her after ANC NEC member Mdu Manana circulated images of him, her and others enjoying a meal at his house.
A high-placed source, who spoke to Sunday World on condition of anonymity, said Ndabeni-Abrahams asked her communication team on Thursday to compile a list of her achievements.
She said she needed to submit the list of her achievement swiftly as her cut-off date for
submission was Friday afternoon.
Ndabeni-Abrahams spokesperson Mish Molakeng confirmed the minister had asked for the compilation of her achievements but dismissed as untrue that she wanted to submit them to Ramaphosa.
“Minister Stella Ndabeni-Abrahams has never been asked by anyone nor the Presidency to submit her list of achievements. The document you are citing was in response to a request made by the ministry to the minister’s former media liaison officer, it was meant for the series of media engagements that the minister had started prior to her being placed on special leave.”
