President Cyril Ramaphosa will deliver the Opening of Parliament Address this evening to outline the priorities of the seventh administration.
This comes four weeks after the national and provincial elections. The outcome resulted in no political party receiving an outright majority.
Though the national assembly re-elected Ramaphosa as president following the formation of a government of national unity, this has left a trail of uncertainty as Ramaphosa and the DA are not seeing eye-to-eye on the composition of the cabinet.
Meanwhile, on the red carpet, things were lively and colourful as usual. There were fashion hits and misses, as politicians donned their best to step into the new administration.
