Enhle wears brutal scars of GBV victims in ‘Four Walls’

Actress and TV presenter Enhle Mbali Mlotshwa will star in a new short-limited series Four Walls. The nine-part short film is created by Juvaiś Dunn, Menzi Mzimela and Kgosana Monchus.

It follows Grace Molotsi (played by Enhle), a married nurse from the township who feels trapped and at her wits end due to an abusive husband who has made her life a living nightmare.

When she finally decides to kill the abusive husband, her house is invaded by thugs on the run from a cash-in-transit robbery gone wrong, taking her hostage.

Dunn, executive producer for Weldun Media, said the story provides insight on the systematic societal issue of gender-based violence (GBV) and how far the victims of GBV have to go to be heard and protected.

“Our vision has always been to tell compelling stories that move audiences. Four Walls is a personal story told within a new and exciting format,” said Dunn.

“This is the first part of an exciting slate of our scripted content and we can’t wait to share the series with audiences when it is completed.”

The cast is made up of Khulu Skenjana (Grootman), Gift Leotlela (Lefa), Jeff Jackson (Dice), and Israel Matseke-Zulu (Voice of Ace).
