Mmatema Gavu excited to host Replenishment Concert again

Singer, songwriter and actress Mmatema Gavu will once again take centre stage as the host of the upcoming Replenishment Concert.

Gavu, who also hosted the show in 2022, shared how happy she is to be back for the second installment of the music event.

“Being called again to host an event of such caliber is such an honour. I can’t wait to worship with everyone that’ll be present at the event,” she said.

Legendary gospel singer William Sejake will also make a comeback appearance at the concert. The O Mohau hitmaker said it has been a long time coming.

“I am super excited to be part of this concert. There is no better way to reintroduce myself into the industry,” said Sejake.

“We all know the Replenishment Concert is the biggest gospel event of the year, and I can’t wait to be on stage again.

“I am also pleased to announce that I am looking for a number of talented singers to join our Replenishment Concert choir called The Replenish, which is an amazing opportunity for gospel musicians.”

Sejake will join the likes of award-winning gospel ensemble Joyous Celebration, Dr Tumi, Betusile Mcinga, Dumi Mkokstad, HLE, Hlengiwe Mhlaba, Khaya Mthethwa, Lebo Sekgobela, Sbu Noah, Sipho Ngwenya, Takie Ndou, Teboho Moloi, Thinah Zungu, Xolly Mncwango, Winnie Mashaba and Zaza Mokhethi, among others.

Media mogul and founder of Replenishment Concert, Thabo “Tbo Touch” Molefe, said the organisers are thrilled to have Sejake back on stage.

“Nothing beats singing along to songs that you grew up to. They bring that feeling of home and nostalgia to the festival,” said Molefe.

Prophets Lovy Elias and Passion Java are expected to grace the event with their presence, as well as American gospel figure Bishop Noel Jones.

The Replenishment Concert takes place on September 30 at SuperSport Park in Centurion, Pretoria.
