National Assembly Speaker Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula owes the public an explanation. It was strange that DA leader John Steenhuisen directly provoked Mapisa-Nqakula, calling her a manipulative liar and dishonest. But the speaker hardly ordered him to withdraw the unparliamentary comments, as she would do later with Mzwanele Manyi for referring to ANC MPs as “thugs”.
Perhaps she has a soft spot for Steenhuisen or he has some strong juju.
