Retired football legend Matthew Booth’s alleged married paramour Bongani Mthombeni-Moller has dumped her husband and father of her two children Klaus Moller.
Sunday World can exclusively reveal that Bongani kicked Moller to the kerb in February after accusing him of failing allegedly failing to honour some of his promises.
Bongani, who lives with her children in Johannesburg while Moller stays in Cape Town where he works as a lecturer at the University of Cape Town, also allegedly blamed the disintegration of her marriage on long-distance distance arrangement. News that she has separated from Moller was revealed by a source close to the estranged love birds.
The mole said Moller revealed that Bongani broke up with him after receiving information that Booth continued to cuckold him.
This after the former Bafana Bafana’s vehicle was allegedly seen at the petite belle’s home in Kyalami, north of Johannesburg, in June. It was late at night when Booth’s vehicle was spotted at Bongani’s residence.
When Moller, said the deep throat, was tipped off about Booth’s alleged nocturnal visit to his marital home, he lamented that there was nothing he could do because Bongani discarded him in February.
“Klaus is hurting because he still loves his wife, but he said when a woman is no longer in love with you, there is nothing you can do about it,” said the tipster. The source added that what broke Moller’s heart more was that he and Booth were born in the same street in Fishhoek, Cape Town, and share the same birth date.
“Klaus and Matthew share the same birth date, which is the March 14. Matthew’s parents remained there when he moved to Joburg to play soccer, they only moved out of the suburb this year to go live elsewhere,” said the source. Moller, said the source, also revealed that he has a lump in his throat because his children appear to have known about Bongani and Booth’s alleged extra-marital affair but were told to zip it up.
He also said his children and Bongani recently went to see Booth play in Gaborone, Botswana, adding that he found out later after she made him sign the passport papers for them to cross the border to watch Booth strut his stuff. Moller added that he regretted not believing Booth’s cuckquean, Sonia, when she alerted him in 2022 that the SuperSport soccer commentator was rogering his wife.
The source said Moller is planning to reach out to Sonia and extended an olive branch. The two are likely to work together and testify against their estranged spouses in their divorce proceedings. Moller, said the source, alleged that he discovered that in November 2022, Bongani and Booth spent a weekend at her parents’ beachfront holiday apartment in Margate and Oribi-Gorge in KwaZulu-Natal.
Moller suspected that Bongani might have met Booth on his 60th birthday. She left her house and said she was going to see a “friend” and did not invite him to tag along.
“He said he was so angry, wondering why did she leave him alone on his birthday to go and see her ‘friend’.”
The source further shared that when Moller left, Bongani gave him a loving and beautiful birthday card which he later hanged on the wall of the house as it gave him the hope that they would enjoy their marital bliss again.
According to the source, Moller also said Bongani portrayed him as a bad guy to her family when they enquired about the separation.
Bongani did not respond to our written questions while Moller could not be reached for comment at the time of going to print.
