ANC Luthuli house staff to strike over salaries

Johannesburg – Gatvol employees of the ANC at Luthuli House will picket outside the party’s headquarters in Joburg on Tuesday next week.

This after the ruling party failed for the umpteenth time to pay them their monthly salaries.
This was announced by ANC spokesperson Pule Mabe on Wednesday.


“African National Congress ( ANC) staff, at a general staff meeting chaired by general manager Febe Potgieter, have given their employer notice in accordance with labour regulations of planned industrial action on Tuesday, 15 June 2021. Following the repeated challenges of late salary payment, ANC staff will picket on June 15 Luthuli house, and all provincial and regional ANC offices in protest,” read the statement.

It further said although the staff was informed that the party was attending to the cashflow problem, they felt that the grievances and conditions of employment have reached a boiling point hence the protest.
