Robert Marawa reveals he was hospitalised for Covid-19

Johannesburg – Popular sports Presenter Robert Marawa explained through an Instagram Post earlier today that he had severe Covid-19 pneumonia and spent a week in the ICU.

He said health workers worked tirelessly to save his life and urged everyone to get tested as soon as symptoms appear, and not rely on self-medicating and isolation only.

“What started out as the flu-like symptoms we’ve all been warned about, quickly led to fulminant debilitating inexplicable fatigue without shortness of breath on day 8 of my diagnosis,” said Marawa.

He said he was advised to use a pulse-oximeter and that his oxygen levels had dropped to 92 and hospital admission was arranged after lung x-rays.

He said he was now working toward a full recovery but that the virus was taxing on the body.
