Popular reality TV star Oratile Mabitsela has been dumped by her husband after he accused her of cheating on him and beating him up in a series of domestic violence incidents.
Mabitsela’s husband, Elias Lehlohonolo Mabitsela, has since informed the beauty queen, who features in the popular Showmax show Mommy Club, that he has instructed his lawyers to file divorce papers in court so he can officially end their matrimony.
The couple’s relative, who wished to remain anonymous out of fear of victimisation, revealed the startling news.
The relative said Mabitsela’s husband alleged that their -union crumbled because his beautiful wife had made him a cuckold on several occasions.
“He said Oratile has had extramarital relationships or romantic or sexual relationships at different places,” said the relative. The next of kin also stated that Mabitsela’s husband, a successful businessman, complained that she assaulted him on several occasions during their domestic violence tiffs.
“He told us that she has physically, verbally, emotionally and psychologically abused him.
“He said that during the episodes of their arguments, Oratile often reacted by throwing items at him. During one of their fights, she damaged his cellphone and punched him, and he ended up seeking medical attention,” said the relative.
The kin further stated that Mabitsela (nee Mabotja) not only humiliated and embarrassed him but also ill-treated him.
However, the relative stated that he disregarded this, mistakenly believing that he could salvage his marriage. He also said that the Telly icon instilled anxiety in him because of the things she did whenever she was angry with him.
The relative also stated that, according to her husband, Mabitsela constantly failed to support him emotionally and physically when he needed her to do so.
“He told us that instead of supporting him, she took pictures of him in a bid to build a case that he was abusive.
“She also deserted him in times of need to pursue her own interests and extramarital relationships.
“He also said she seldom considers his views, wishes and opinions as her husband and also fails to show him respect, and this was hurtful and disrespectful,” said the relative.
The relative also stated that Mabitsela’s husband complained that his wife was egotistic. He also said she always unfairly criticised him without justification.
“Because of these, he feels that the marriage relationship between them has broken down irretrievably, and there is no reasonable prospect of their recon-ciliation through marriage counselling, treatment, or reflection,” said a relative.
He said he had already told his lawyers that after the finalisation of their divorce, he wanted both of them to have full parental rights over their children, including their twins. He also wants their children’s primary care and accommodation.
Mabitsela said she neither cheated nor assaulted her husband.
“There is no truth to the claims of me beating up my husband or cheating on him,” she said.
