Tributes continue to pour in following the passing of seasoned actor Wiseman Sithole at the age of 51 at his Cape Town home on Sunday.
Sithole is known for is famous roles on Shooting Stars, 90 Plein Street, and Projek Dina.
His passing was confirmed by his acting agency, ERM Stars, through an Instagram statement. It said his sudden passing has left behind a deep sadness.
Cause of death not disclosed
The cause of death has not been disclosed. However, the agency shared that more details and arrangements may be revealed later as per instructions from the family.
“We are honoured to have worked alongside this legend of an actor. He touched many lives as a friend, relative, and to his audience on screen. We will miss you so much, Wiseman,” reads the agency’s post.
The agency also revealed that Sithole was readying himself for an upcoming performance at the Woordfees.
Penguin Films also sent out condolences, describing him as an actor who would give his all to the craft.
“We are heartbroken to share the passing of Wiseman Sithole, a cherished member of the Penguin Films family. Wiseman brought unforgettable energy to roles in Madam & Eve, Going Up Again, Stokvel, Traffic, Wounds, and Projek Dina,” reads the post on X.
Artscape theatre also shared that Sithole’s talent and spirit will be missed in performances. He was a brilliant actor who was eye-pleasing to see on stage, said the Artscape theatre.
