American actor and author Clarence Gilyard Jr has passed away.
The 66-year-old actor who also worked as a university professor at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas died on Monday evening. Details about his death are still sketchy at this time.
The actor is best known for starring in Matlock, Walker Texas Ranger and he was a supporting actor in the blockbuster film, Die Hard.
He also appeared on stage in many shows including Driving Miss Daisy and other TV series and movies.
