Musician and reality star Eric Kulani Giyani Nkovani, better known by his stage names Penny Penny and Papa Penny, is fuming after his song Hai Ka Mina was played by a local DJ and producer.
Papa Penny took to his social media to blast the DJ known as Bushida Coffee for allegedly sampling his song without his permission.
“Bushida Coffee, stop playing my song Hai Ka Mina, that is my song. Stop that rubbish that you are doing, consult. Don’t be a fake artist, you cannot remix my song without me telling you, without asking me. Don’t play with my gift, compose your own song, delete that nonsense now,” said Papa Penny in a video.

Bushida Coffee later took to TikTok to apologize to Papa Penny for remixing the song and shared that he had deleted the song in question.
The producer said he was being threatened and insulted in his inbox by fans claiming that he had stolen the song.
“I have deleted the song, even though it was just a snippet and it’s an unreleased song. I know why people would be angry, I understand, and I spoke to Papa Penny during the day and we ended up talking about procedures and all was sorted,” he said.

At the time many thought he was referring to Grammy award winner Black Coffee and this saw the renowned DJ catching strays for something he did not do.
Taking to social media on Tuesday Papa Penny asked people not to confuse the two DJs.
“It is not Black Coffee, he is the right guy but the one who did a remix is Bushida Coffee. He did a remix of Milandu bhe the original 1994 version. Correct the mistake because now you are now stop spoiling Black Coffee, it is not him,” he said.
