Ladysmith Black Mambazo, the world-renowned and multi award-winning isicathamiya group, will host a music concert in celebration of former president Nelson Mandela’s birthday.
The all-male Grammy award-winning group, better known for one of its hit songs Long walk to freedom, will host a concert on July 17, a day before Madiba’s birthday at the Joburg Theatre.
The day will start with an 8km Mandela Day Run in Houghton. Proceeds from the race will go to the Nelson Mandela Foundation.
Mambazo recently collaborated with Nigerian singer Burna Boy and their songs have received warm reception from music fanatics.
