In 2015 he was started out his acting career in the theatre where he was cast in a theatre show titled Sophiatown.

The following year he was featured on Uzalo as a hitman and later did a few short films.

“I can’t dance nor can I sing but in 2018, I took a risk and auditioned for Nandi The Musical, and to my surprise, I was cast as Shaka who was the son of Nandi. That musical really showed me that I can do anything if I put my mind to it ,” he told Sunday World.

Wanda has also made appearances on eHostela season one as a hitman and believes his big television break was on Imbewu where he played the role of Mthunzi.

“I was always cast as the good guy and boyfriend in my previous roles and with the role on Imbewu, I wanted to change that and do something different.”

When lockdown hit the entire industry, Wanda had no work and fell into a phase of depression and that was when he focused more on being an agent for other artists.

“I went for casting for House of Zwide and another show, but back then I wanted to be on that show rather than House of Zwide. I now believe God had other plans for me when I got a lead role on House of Zwide.”

Working with big stars such as Vusi Kunene and Winnie Ntshaba, has been nothing but a blessing for the actor, because he feels there is still more that he will learn and also share to those that look up to him.

“I feel as if my role, Nkosi was made for me because there are so many similarities between me and the character.”

Going forward Wanda hopes to one day get an international acting role, start his own production company and would also love to get into the music industry.

“People should stay tuned to see how things unfold on House of Zwide for Nkosi and also watch his character grow immensely,” he concluded.
