Inkabi Zezwe postpones Durban show

Music duo Inkabi Zezwe made up of Sjava and Big Zulu have announced that their show which is set to take place in Durban has been postponed.

The show was set to take place on September 3 at the Hollywoodbets Kings Park Stadium.


The duo shared the news on their social media pages and said the show had been moved due to unforeseen circumstances.

They further stated that the Durban show that was scheduled for September 3 would be moved to another date, which they would announce soon.

Fans who have already purchased their tickets for the show are urged to keep them for the future date or reach out to Computicket for a refund.

“Ngenxa yezimo ebezingalindekile, i-show yaseThekwini ebizoba ngomhlaka 3 September isihlehlisiwe. I-date entsha izomenyezelwa maduze. Ningaqhubeka nokusakaza i-albhamu Ukhamba, nifunde amazwi alomculo. Uthando lunye,” reads the statement.

Inkabi Zezwe kicked off their national tour in Pretoria at the end of June at a live concert which was a sold-out affair. The duo then headed off to the Grand Arena, Grandwest in Cape Town on July 29, and Big Top Arena in Carnival City in Ekurhuleni on August 26.

In January this year, Inkabi Zezwe said they are set out, to create a body of work that would celebrate brotherhood, isiZulu culture, and music in a way that connected all South Africans. 

At the 2023 Standard Bank Joy of Jazz Inkabi Zezwe Reframed will feature trumpeter Ndabo Zulu and the current Standard Bank Young Artist for Jazz (SBYA), Linda Sikhakhane.
