Legendary R&B star Joe Thomas will be making a return to South Africa in 2024 for a date with music lovers in three provinces.
The gigs are scheduled to take place in April in North West, Cape Town and Pretoria.
Joe was signed to Polygram Records in 1992 and rose to prominence after releasing his debut album Everything the following year.
He had a few successful albums under Jive Records before leaving the record company.
Since his departure from Jive, he has released most of his projects independently through ventures with Kedar Massenburg and Plaid Takeover Entertainment.
His most recent album is My Name Is Joe Thomas, which was released in 2016.
The musician is a seven-time Grammy Award nominee and has been nominated for other awards and accolades including a BET award, a NAACP Image award, and four Soul Train Music Awards.
Joe’s performances in the country will take place at the Sun City Superbowl on April 27 and Cape Town’s Grand Arena, GrandWest on April 28 before he wraps up his tour with a performance at SunBet Arena in Pretoria on April 30.

Attendees are set to be serenaded with all-time favourites and classics including I Wanna Know, All That I Am, Good Girls, Don’t Wanna Be A Player, All The Things (Your Man Won’t Do), Stutter, More & More, If I Was Your Man, and Thank God I Found You.
Proudly presented by seasoned experiential events company Vertex Events, 2024 will have Joe supporters looking forward to special and unforgettable shows.
He will be supported by local acts that will be announced early in the new year.
