American R&B songstress Keyshia Myeshia Johnson, popularly known as Keyshia Cole, will be touring South Africa later this year in three different cities.
Keyshia will give fans the chance to witness her soulful vocals and powerful stage presence. The tour will kick off in Cape Town at the Grand Arena. Then Sun City Superbowl in the North West, and conclude in Pretoria at the SunBet Arena at Time Square.
September dates
The Cape Town, Grand West Arena is on September 26. This will be followed by the Sun City Superbowl North West leg of the tour on September 28. Keyshia’s tour will conclude on September 29 at Pretoria’s SunBet Arena at Time Square.
The Grammy-nominated singer and songwriter is known for her soulful vocals and relatable lyrics. Her soulful lyrics explore themes of love, heartbreak, and women empowerment.
Close associate of Tupac Shakur, who was to mentor her
The 42-year-old began her career as a backing vocalist for MC Hammer before signing with A&M Records. She then released her debut studio album, The Way It Is. Keyshia had formed a friendship with the late rap icon Tupac Shakur, who was to be her mentor.
He promised to help her start her singing career. Tupac asked her to write a hook on his then-upcoming project on the night he was shot in a drive-by shooting. This caused his death six days later.
Her well known hits like Let It Go, I Should Have Cheated and Nobody’s Perfect are set to offer an unforgettable experience for local fans.
First time in SA

Expect an unforgettable night of positive vibes, high energy and great soulful music, the perfect combination,” said Netshipise.
