Zakes Bantwini to announce international guest act for ‘Abantu’

Grammy award-winning musician Zakes Bantwini has announced his local lineup for his much-anticipated Abantu concert, set to take place at Cape Town’s DHL Stadium on October 28.

Zakes shared through his social media platforms that he will be joined on stage by the likes of GoldFish, Musa Keys, K.O, Nomcebo Zikode, Goodluck, Jeremy Loops, Major League DJz and Sun-El Musician.

He has also noted that he will be announcing an international guest act in September. A few surprise acts will also be part of the concert.

In a statement, Zakes said when they first came up with the idea for Abantu, it was to do something special for the people.

“It took us some time to get it right but I think we finally have a well-rounded event property that everyone can look forward to. We have an incredible line-up that I believe will bring a unique flavour to a local concert that’s unlike any we’ve seen before. This is just the beginning and I can’t wait for everyone to see what we have in store for this historic show,” he said.

In March the Osama hitmaker announced that the Abantu concert would be moved from November to October.

“Your overwhelming response and support of Abantu has inspired us to elevate the experience and curate something truly world-class. Regrettably, in order to be able to deliver the best talent and production for you, we would like to announce that we have moved the date to 28 October.”
