Former Skeem Saam actress Pebetsi Matlaila has returned to her first love, broadcasting.
Famous for television character as Mokgadi on the SABC 1 show, the actress announced the move on her social media account, saying she has joined the international radio station, Channel Africa radio.
Matlaila said she has always had love for radio, and she hosts a show between midday and 2pm.
“Before television, I had radio and seven years later, I am hosting a show on radio again. It may look small to someone, but to me it’s an answered prayer and I shall celebrate my small wins too. I wanted to get back to radio which is my first love for so long.
In hindsight I realise now that I found my voice again and I am learning how to use it. I can safely say I got my foot back in the door, the SABC headquarters door. I’m still rough around the edges, but it can only get better from here,” she shared.
