Troubled businessman Nzuzo Njilo will have to wait another month before he hears of his fate after a case of fraud against him was postponed to November.
Njilo and co-accused Kwanda Ntshangase appeared before the Port Shepstone magistrate’s court on Monday for the start of trial.
The matter was postponed to November 8 after Njilo’s his legal representatives requested for a docket to be provided to them before trial begins.
Njilo has been hogging the headlines since his public marriage to reality TV star Faith Nketsi was broadcast on her show that is currently on season five.
The show, Have Faith, is being screened on MTV every Monday.
The controversial businessman and his accomplice are accused of allegedly defrauding a woman of half a million rands in a botched sale.
They allegedly defrauded the woman by selling her a truck in 2021, however, they failed to deliver on their promise.
They each face a charge of fraud linked to the dodgy sale.
In May, Njilo made headlines after police posted his picture on social media and announced that he was wanted for defrauding the unsuspecting buyer.
The accused handed themselves over to police and were held in police custody before receiving bail of R30 000 and R3 000, respectively.
Sunday World reported at the weekend that Njilo had been dealt a double blow after Nketsi announced on her show that they were headed for a divorce.
Viewers were glued to their TV screens last week as Nketsi confirmed reports that there had been trouble in paradise in her marriage, barely a year after the couple celebrated its traditional wedding.
Nketsi revealed that due to the severity of the couple’s marital problems, she would be in a mental hospital if she stayed, despite having a child with the businessman.
