“I wanna [sic] share something real. My heart has been heavy lately. I’m going through a tough time financially, I’m behind on bills, and it’s really bad.”
His candid words struck a chord with fans, who have long admired his soulful mixes and uplifting gospel tracks.
Senior Oat, whose real name is Mofadi Mogale, explained that securing gigs has been an uphill battle. This is exacerbating his financial woes.
“Finding gigs lately has been really difficult, and it’s made things even harder,” he shared.
However, the artist was quick to clarify that he’s not seeking charity.
“I’m not asking for donations. I’m not looking for handouts. What I need is work. Bookings,” he emphasised, showcasing his determination to earn his way through hard work.
The hitmaker extended an open invitation to event organisers.
Plea to organisers
“If there’s any way I can add value to your show through my music, please reach out. I believe in working for what I need.”
His plea highlights the state of the arts in the country. A lot of musicians have also been struggling with booking jobs.
