Award-winning gospel star Paul Kganyago has been dumped by his wife, who accuses him of having an adulterous relationship with his ex-girlfriend and baby mama, Lindiwe Ndala.
The Seteng Sediba hitmaker, popularly known as Paul K, has also allegedly kicked his wife, Victoria Kganyago, out of their marital home to pursue a romantic relationship with Ndala, the mother of his first-born child.
The drama happened shortly after his wife gave birth to their third child in 2020.
Victoria told Sunday World they initially tried to rekindle their love after the heart-shattering cheating revelation, which she said drained her during her pregnancy but Paul and Lindiwe are not willing to end their infidelity.
“Paul K is the father of my three children, and I learnt that he was cheating on me when I was preparing to give birth to our third child.
“I was at my parental home in Pretoria because I went back home during previous pregnancies to give birth.
“I realised when I went back to our marital house that he had been with someone else and later it was revealed he was cheating on me with his long-time ex-girlfriend.
“It did not make sense because Paul and I have been married for 15 years and he never showed any remorse or willingness to leave the woman when I confronted him about it. I could not take it anymore, so I had to leave, and I thought that he would note my absence and do something about it, but nothing happened. It still makes no sense,” said Victoria.
She said she was now gaining back her sense of peace after being on the brink of postnatal depression and trying to think of their children’s future in the absence of their father.
She said they had not filed for divorce but that was a considered option given the dire situation at hand.
“I am healing better than I thought I would, and I also realised that having a man in gospel music does not guarantee a lifetime relationship.
“I had hoped things would be back to normal by now, but I could see I am only holding on to hope,” she said.
Lindiwe confirmed to Sunday World that she had an extra-marital affair with the artist in 2020. She said Paul then proposed a polygamous marriage to both of them.
“Victoria decided to leave the house because she realised I was not going anywhere because Paul was now telling the family that he wants polygamy. She could not stand it and there was nothing we could do.
“It was right for me to stay with the father of my child because we need to grow the family. If she comes back, she would still be accepted because she is still Paul’s wife,” said Ndala.
Paul neither confirmed nor denied the relationship with his ex-girlfriend but claimed he was not staying with the woman in his marital home.
“Lindiwe is the mother of my first child whom we had while we were at school. Life decided otherwise and we parted ways. So, we then had a discussion, which is still ongoing, that she should be my second wife because I don’t want my child growing out of wedlock.
“My wife does not understand this, and we are facing divorce.
“She has been with me for a long time, and I also don’t want her to leave. I’ve done everything I can to show her that I need her by my side but still decided to leave.
“I still stand that this should be a polygamy and need her to understand. She has since moved in with her parents.”
