Reality TV star Christall Kay, who was part of the Real Housewives of Johannesburg and has now joined the Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip — South Africa, believes that fame has changed Nonku Williams.
Christall claims that because of Nonku’s expectations of the butler and service providers, fame had a negative impact on her fellow cast member.
“I noticed that she would always be calling for people to come to her room to serve her like she was the queen,” says Christall.
“Mel and I would go down to the kitchen, engage the staff and have fun and meaningful conversations. We did not expect them to serve us.”
Good platform to share
She claims that ever since she allegedly got into a physical altercation on the set of The Real Housewives of Johannesburg, she has felt as though she has never had a chance to prove to her followers that she was resilient and could rise up and face any challenge.
“I came back because I wanted people to see that I was not defeated by what happened,” says Christall.
“The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip provided a wonderful platform for me to do that and share my story from my own perspective.
“On the show, I was able to explain things as best as I could, but I would not say I explained it 100% because LeJoy kept interrupting me.
“Every time I would try and tell my story, she would be there.”
Most beautiful kiss
She says she left Jamaica with only two friends, LaConco and Mel, because the other ladies were not on her side.
Her friendship with Beverley, however, came to an end during the show.
Christall shares that the best part about filming the Ultimate Girls Trip was when she spent quality time with her partner, whom she met for the first time in real life.
“It was the most beautiful kiss I have ever had in my life. We did not notice the cameras rolling the entire time.
“He is 20 years younger than me, and everything about that moment was magical.”
