R&B singer Kelello Segoana, best known by his stage name Kaylow, has been involved in yet another horrific accident, leaving his fans shaken and concerned about his safety.
He was still recovering from a horrific car crash that happened last September and almost took his life.
His management, TY Hlongwane from Magnolia Haus Communications, confirmed that the incident occurred in the wee hours of Saturday, while he was driving home from a studio recording session.
The crash took place after losing control of his white BMW E30 vehicle.
“Kaylow was driving home from the studio in the early hours of Saturday morning to his family in Tshwane. Unfortunately, one of his tyres burst and he failed to control the car. He is currently in the hospital recovering.”
The car was severely damaged and emergency personnel arrived swiftly at the scene.
“The car is a complete write-off,” Hlongwane said.
“More details will be shared in a statement after getting all the facts. But as it stands, he is in hospital.”
Still recovering from the first crash
The Soweto-born singer was still receiving medical care from the first accident that happened in September 2024.
He was relying on crutches and a wheelchair.
When the first crash happened, Kaylow had just bought a bicycle for his son when another driver crashed into him, leaving him hospitalised and bedridden for months.
His pelvic bone was damaged, and his legs were severely injured.
”He was still recovering from the first crash – so this has made things worse, and we ask everyone to keep him in their prayers,” Hlongwane added.
Kaylow has just released the single ‘Respect’ featuring his close friend and late DJ Oupa “Sumbody” Sefoka, who was gunned down in 2022.
The song was recorded just weeks before DJ Sumbody’s death. Kaylow described the song as significant to his recovery journey and was about gratitude and honouring DJ Sumbody.
