The drama from The Real Housewives of Durban (RHOD) Season 5 reunion has spilled into the courtroom, with star Londiwe “Londie London” Zulu serving legal papers to Gagasi FM presenter Minenhle “Minnie” Ntuli over an alleged assault and defamation incident.
The bombshell move comes just hours after the reunion aired unseen footage on July 11. The footage shows Ntuli allegedly poking Londie London on the forehead during a heated confrontation, leaving viewers stunned and sparking widespread outrage.
5pm deadline
In a letter dated July 15, from Lamula KB Attorneys, representing Londie London, the firm demands Ntuli record a sincere video of apology and post it across all her social media accounts by 17pm today, Wednesday, July 16, 2025.
Failure to comply will see Londie London pursue damages and an assault case with the South African Police Services. The legal action stems from Ntuli’s behaviour during the reunion’s second episode. In the episode, she allegedly assaulted London unprovoked. And she continued even as Londie London remained calm and refrained from retaliating.
Londie London, a singer and entrepreneur, made her stance clear during the reunion. She rejected Ntuli’s private apology attempt.
“I want nothing to do with Minnie. I’m going to open a case of assault and defamation of character. If she was at the reunion, I’d be serving her with papers already. She’s vile and deserves to spend at least two weeks behind bars,” she declared.
Feud rooted in spat during one episode
The feud traces back to Season 5, ignited by Londie London’s snarky comment about Ntuli’s dress. That escalated into Ntuli’s shocking accusation. She claimed that Londie London “makes money lying on her back”, damaging her reputation.
After Gagasi FM issued a statement on July 11, noting her accountability and remorse, Ntuli posted a public apology on Facebook. She expressed regret and committed to counselling.
However, Londie London’s legal team dismisses this as insincere. They pointed to an SMS on July 12, that still referenced Gagasi FM’s interests, not a direct apology to her.
“She did try to reach out via a text message, apologising in private. That is quite different from the statement she released.”
The legal correspondence accuses Ntuli of constant defamation on RHOD. It also questions the authenticity of Gagasi FM’s claim that Ntuli apologised to cast members. An apology which Londie London denies receiving.
With the deadline looming at 5pm, the pressure is on Ntuli to respond.
