After being rescheduled from the SABC radio station, Metro FM presenter Luthando “Lootlove” Shosha is back on air.
On Monday, Lootlove returned to her role as co-host of Thabo “Tbo Touch” Molefe’s Afternoon Drive Show on the station.
She made a comeback to radio a few months ago when Metro FM unveiled its new line-up for the year.
According to reports, Lootlove was unscheduled from her show after attending an ANC Siyanqoba rally just days before the general elections held on Wednesday last week.
SABC editorial policy
The public broadcaster confirmed that she was unscheduled but was not scheduled to return to her show.
Mmoni Seapolelo, the acting group executive: corporate affairs and marketing at the SABC, said: “The SABC can confirm that Metro FM on-air presenter Luthando “Lootlove” Shosha was unscheduled from her programme.”
“The SABC is not at liberty to go into the details of the matter concerning the individual, except to say that the hosting of political rallies and/or public association with political parties goes against the SABC’s editorial policy, which is a public document.”
The public broadcaster, however, denied that DJ Lamiez Holworthy was on suspension or unscheduled for any matter.
Endorsing political parties
In a separate matter, Ukhozi FM’s Khathide Tshatha Ngobe and Zimiphi “Zimdolllar” Biyela were also unscheduled from their respective shows for endorsing political parties publicly.
Zimdollar, who is the co-host of Dankie 1223 with “King Sfiso”, previously stated that she would be voting for the MK Party in the general elections.
Tshatha, who openly shared his excitement after voting for the first time last week, was seen at MK Party rallies wearing the new political formation’s regalia.
All three radio personalities returned to work on Monday after their suspensions were lifted.
