Jeezy has had enough of married life after only two years and served TV presenter Jeannie Mai Jenkins with divorce papers.
The rapper filed for divorce from The Real co-host on September 14 after nearly two and a half years of marriage.
Reports are that Jeezy, whose real name is Jay Wayne Jenkins, and Jeannie are currently living in a bona fide state of separation and that their marriage has irretrievably broken down with no hope for reconciliation.
The musician is also seeking joint legal and physical custody of their 20-month-old daughter, Monaco.
Jeezy, 45, and Jeannie, 44, started hanging out in November 2018, about a year after she had announced her split from ex-husband Freddy Harteis.
Jeezy and Jeannie made their first romantic appearance on Instagram in 2019. The couple were engaged in March 2020 and tied the knot in 2021.
It seems like J&J are not the only couple who have decided to throw in the white towel on marriage!
Hugh Jackman and Deborra-lee, who tied the knot almost three decades ago, have also decided to concentrate on their individual journeys.
“We have been blessed to share almost three decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage. Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth,” the couple said in a statement on Friday.
Hugh, popular for playing the Wolverine character, and Deborra-Lee are parents to two children, Oscar, 23 and 18-year-old daughter Ava.
“Our family has been, and always will be, our highest priority. We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love, and kindness. We greatly appreciate your understanding in respecting our privacy as our family navigates this transition in all of our lives,” they continued, signing off Deb and Hugh Jackman.
The couple met in 1995 on the set of the Australian TV series Corelli. The co-stars fell for each other hard and fast. Deborra-lee was already established as an actress and Hugh, at the time was a fresh actor out of drama school. The couple was married less than a year later.
Their last red-carpet appearance was at the Met Gala on May 1. In July, the couple attended the men’s finals at Wimbledon.
