Makhadzi thanks fans for walking away with top award

Limpopo artist Makhadzi has bagged yet another All Africa Music Awards (Afrima) gong.

The awards were held in Dakar, Senegal and included performances by some of Africa’s most popular musicians including Nigeria’s P-Square and Tiwa Savage.

The MaGear hitmaker took to her Instagram to share her excitement with fans.

“Congratulations I made it. Your votes counted and thank you very much for choosing me as your Best Southern African Female Artist. I appreciate your support very much and Afrima, thank you for recognising my hard work,” she wrote.

Makhadzi is no stranger to Afrima awards, as she once won an award for her hit song Murahu under the best artist and duo or group in the African electro category.
