Musicians King Monada, Shebeshxt bury the hatchet

Musician Shebeshxt has signaled his return to the stage as a headliner for two shows including an appearance at his arch nemesis King Monada’s festival.

It appears the two music rivals have smoked a peace pipe, leaving their drama in the past as King Monada books Shebeshxt to his most anticipated in Limpopo in August.

This will also be an official return to the big stage for Shebeshxt, born Katlego Chauke. He was off recovering from a fatal car accident in June, which claimed the life of his daughter.

Former enemies

In the past, King Monada, real name Steven Kgatle, and Shebeshxt, could not stand each other’s guts. This after they publicly threatened to harm each other. Shebeshxt wrote a song dissing King Monada. He also spoke about their clash on popular Podcast, Podcast and Chill with MacG.

At the festival, which is scheduled for August 28, Shebeshxt will share the stage with fellow musicians. They include rapper Focalistic, Nkosazana Daughter, Master KG and Big Zulu.

The musician took to his social media pages to announce his return to the stage. This amid calls for him to take time off and mourn his daughter’s passing.

“Thank you for your prayers and support. I am back,” he said in a post on Facebook.

The star also made a public appearance in a video he posted on his Facebook page. He was advertising another event he is booked to perform at in September.

“This is Shebeshxt. On the 28th of September I will be at Senwabarwana stadium. Come through and let’s have a good time,” he said.

Fans worried he’s not fully recovered

However, as his fans celebrated this announcement, some of his fans were unimpressed. They took to the comment section to urge him to rest and also raised concerns over his hurried return to stage.

“He lost so much weight,” Pretty Bondrass said.

Mothusi Ngobeni said: “He is no longer the same emotionally and mentally. Good to see you back.”

Shebeshxt survived a fatal car accident in Limpopo early last month, which claimed the life of his 9-year-old daughter.

He was traveling to his girlfriend’s home, where he was going to drop her and his daughter off. From there he was to make his way to an ANC Siyanqoba rally celebration concert in Lebowakgomo. The musician’s car collided with a truck in the accident.
