Priddy Ugly to drop curtain on rap after 15 years in music industy

South African hip-hop star Priddy Ugly will be bowing out of the rap game after 15 years in the music industry.

Priddy Ugly, born Ricardo Moloi, shared with fans that he would be releasing one last album titled DUST – The Final Chapter.

In all these years, he released three albums and three mix tapes. He also managed to give his fans five EPs, 500 verses, and thousands of verses.

“Millions of minds blown, that’s word to my pen. That’s a whole wife and daughter. Some homies gained, some homies lost, some bruised egos, and a whole lot of love,” said Priddy.

“Some wins, some losses, some horns [and] some crosses, that’s 5 475 days you have been riding with me, and 0 minutes I would take back.

Dust will be the final album by Priddy Ugly, thank you for your patience.”

In 2022, Priddy Ugly was Cassper Nyovest’s opponent for the second edition of Celeb City, a celebrity boxing exhibition tournament.

Speaking to Sunday World at the time, the rapper said he is confident that Nyovest would not even make it to round three of the boxing match.

No one had wanted to challenge Nyovest, so Priddy decided to send a direct message to his fellow rapper to challenge him in the ring.

“I was a plan B after Naakmusiq decided he didn’t want to do this anymore. We started speaking two months ago and he had already given me the date and it was only confirmed a few weeks ago,” he said at the time.

“Funny enough, him and I don’t know each other like that, but I thought since nobody wants to challenge him, let me do it.”

Unfortunately Priddy Ugly, Nyovest was the last man standing in the ring.
