The family of South African hip hop artist Itumeleng George Tladi confirmed on Sunday that he had passed on during the early hours of the morning. He was 30-years-old.
The family have not revealed the cause of1 the rapper’s death.
The son of veteran events promoter Peter Tladi, he was known by his stage name Tumi Tladi.
The family said in a statement that he was deeply loved by his family, friends and the entertainment industry as a whole.
“Son, brother and uncle, Tumi Tladi (30) sadly passed away in the early hours of this morning (10th July 2022) in Johannesburg,” read the statement.
Tladi leaves behind his parents, five siblings, his niece and nephews.
Details of the funeral will be confirmed at a later stage.
His latest music release was Presidential, which features Nadia Nakai and MustBeDubz in July.
