Relebogile Mabotja celebrates 20-years in the arts space

Multi-talented radio host and actress Relebogile Mabotja is celebrating 20 years in the arts and culture industry.

The media personality and businesswoman has her foot in various sectors of the arts: musician, TV and radio presenter, musical director, executive producer and voice director.

The former Rhythm City actress, who started her career while aged 17 as a stage performer on Fame – The Musical, said she never foresaw the trajectory her career was going to take.

Over the years, Mabotja has grown to be a formidable on-screen actor, functions behind the scenes, and is in multiple executive positions.

As she continues to add accolades to her resume, Mabotja says two decades in the field has not changed her.

“I started out hungry, passionate and loving what I do, and 20-years on, it’s the same ethos I carry with me in everything I do,” she says.

“I must be honest, I never envisioned a 20-year career in the industry, especially not as it is right now.

“I hoped it would work out, but I could never have dreamt my career would have panned out this way. It’s truly humbling to be celebrating 20 years at the height of my career.”

Mabotja said celebrating the milestone while the country commemorates Women’s Month is the perfect alignment, as most of her career has been paved by other women championing, mentoring, and opening doors for her.

“I’m eternally grateful to all the women in my life who have held me down and lifted me up whenever I needed a shoulder to cry on, advice on navigating the industry, or being my biggest cheerleaders.”

The powerhouse revealed that she is busy with the new season of Unpacked with Relebogile Mabotja which returns on S3 soon.
