Former Jam Alley star and actress, Vinolia ‘V-Mash’ Mashego has died.
This was confirmed by her father, Collen Mashego, who told Sunday World that V-Mash was found in her home in Mamelodi East, this morning.
“Family did find her in her home. When paramedic assessed her, they said that it was natural causes. She was someone with asthma issues,” said Mashego
“It is very sad that she is gone, I have lost my jewel,” said Mashego.
V–Mash’s father descirbed his daughter as one who loved to be close to him and followed strongly in his footsteps.
The 56 year old-star was on the verge of promoting her new TV Show on Moja Love called Bheka Sikubambile.
V-Mash was on Mzansi screens before the arrival of the Bonangs and Nonhle Themas, doing various variety shows such as Pls Call Me and Jam Alley. She also dabbled in acting on Isibaya as Iris’ mother and on Giyani: Land of Blood.
Fellow acting colleague, Candy Tsa Mandebele, told Sunday World she was shocked to hear about Mashego’s death.
“I really don’t believe what you are telling me. I was talking to her last week about her new show on Moja Love”.
