Villain Jessica Nkosi bows out of ‘The Queen’

Award-winning actress Jessica Nkosi has bowed out of Mzansi Magic’s weekday telenovela The Queen.

Nkosi, who played the villainous role of Thando Sebata, was tragically shot on Friday night’s episode during her engagement party to her on-screen fiance’ Bhambatha Khoza.


The media personality has taken to her social media platform to share the news of her departure. She also thanked the late Shona Ferguson and and his wife Connie Ferguson for giving her a chance to play the role of a villain.

“I’ve really had the greatest time with her. Thank you to everyone at Ferguson Films, love you guys,” wrote Nkosi.

In 2013, Nkosi debuted her acting career with the role of Qondisile on Mzansi Magic’s telenovela Isibaya. She later starred as Eve on Ayeye in 2015. In 2021, she won the award for the best female villain at the Royalty Soapie awards ceremony.
