Musician Zandie Khumalo-Gumede has come under fire after she posted on social media that she has bought a new dog and named it Mlosholo.
The dog’s name sparked insinuations that Khumalo-Gumede is throwing jabs at Zandile Mshololo, an advocate representing one of the accused in the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial.
In the post, Khumalo-Gumede shared that the dog is ugly, black, smells ugly, and has big eyes.
She further said the dog has no common sense, but that she had to settle with what she had purchased.
She also mentioned that all the dog does is bark but does not bite.
“Umsebenzi wayo ukukhonkotha, igama layo uMlosholo [all that the dog does is to bark, it is named Mlosholo]. All bark and no bite, but it will have to do,” she wrote.

“Why are u all mad? That one can also go buy a dog and give it a name mos, but they will just need to make sure it’s a pretty dog and feisty too.”

Mshololo told the Ilanga newspaper that she does not bother about what is being said about her on social media, stating that she is not on social media and is not aware of Khumalo-Gumede’s stunts.
“This is the reason why I asked her if she had matric. You can’t go around and speak like this on social media about a trial that is not yet finalised in court,” Mshololo told the newspaper.
“She should wait until the trial is over, then have a say.”
