COVID-19 cases at 2272 – two more die

The number of COVID-19 infections in the country now stands at 2272 with two more deaths.

The department of health said this brings the total number of deaths to 27.

The number of new coronavirus cases have increased by 99 from yesterday. A 68 year old man died in Western Cape and a 57 year old man in Gauteng.


The Department has also urged all South Africans to wear masks and not to share it with anyone else. They advise each person to have, at least two masks, to interchange during washes. It’s also advisable not to handle the inside layer of the mask when taking it off and putting it on.
