Umalusi has launched its newly developed online application system for replacement certificates.
Candidates who wish to recover a lost or damaged certificate will have access to Umalusi’s system from anywhere using their phones or personal machines to direct their applications to Umalusi.
Umalusi said: “The new system has significantly reduced the turnaround time and costs involved in replacing a lost or damaged certificates.”
The redistribution of a lost of damaged certificate will come at a cost of R137 and will be ready for collection after two working days of the application.
Alternatively, a candidate can pay R202 to have their certificates delivered within seven working days to any address within the borders of South Africa.
The Umalusi Council for Quality Assurance in General and Further Education and Training sets and monitors standards for general and further education and training in South Africa
Umalusi develops and evaluates qualifications and curricula to ensure that they meet the required standards, moderates assessment to ensure that it is fair, valid and reliable, accredits providers of education and training, and assessment, conducts research to ensure educational quality and verifies the authenticity of certificates.
