"I did not decide to do work of this magnitude, it is simply a calling, one I naturally answered as it fulfils my life and adds great meaning to it." These are the words of Karabo Mogane, who has been serving her community from the tender age of 15. No one would have guessed how the music teacher’s life would change when her teacher recognised her musical talent and zeal for community upliftment. The teacher proposed that Mogane teaches primary school children from her community of Soshanguve. Having grabbed the opportunity with both hands, the 33-year-old now teaches drama, African dance and music to children at the Good Hope Community Organisation. To add to the list, the arts teacher also teaches violin, viola and theory of music to children from Stinkwater.
