More info:

Abraham Mnguni has emerged as a self-motivated and self-driven individual who seeks to bring light and positivity to the lives of others. Mnguni is the founder of Positive Flames, a non-profit organisation that focuses on addressing the social challenges faced by the youth and women. Positive Flames has 360 member organisations in the nine provinces, tackling problems arising in their contexts. A traditional health practitioner devoted to showcasing and professionalising Africa’s medicinal capabilities, Mnguni has recently started a project called Nqobizitha Herbal Resources and Projects, which specialises in the commercialisation of traditional medicine. In 2016, Mnguni’s first policy draft paper on the regulation of traditional health practitioners was released to pave the way for the African Traditional Medicines Directorate. Two years later, he was appointed as the technical advisor on African Traditional Medicine at the Vaal University of Technology. In 2O23, Positive Flames received the Trailblazer Award from the National Youth Development Agency, and was later nominated for DearSA Young Leaders Awards. “I believe that our young democracy has achieved a lot in terms of emancipating our people and giving them hope, even though we still have a long way to go in terms of service delivery,” reflects Mnguni, who holds an Advanced Certificate in Public Relations from the IQ Academy.
