CEO – Take-a-Bite Biscuits
“I believe that I am called to leave an indelible mark on our generation, particularly in enabling people and the organisations they serve to maximise their potential and unlock their true value.” This is according to Kwazini Zulu, who hails from Durban and is the founder and CEO of both Kulisha Consulting and Take-A-Bite Biscuits. “Apart from the production and supply of our biscuit products across close to 100 stores in Kwa-Zulu Natal, Take-A-Bite Biscuits has become such a wonderful case study of using business practice to harness the creative energy and enthusiasm of young people to not only find themselves but cultivate essential skills,” says Zulu. Zulu supplies prominent retail brands such as Freshstop, Food Lover’s Market, Pick n Pay Express and Spar with biscuits. His customer portfolio further includes BP, Total Energies, Shell, Caltex, Engen and Astron Energies. His highlights as an entrepreneur include being a 2024 Sunday World Unsung Hero, holding the Africa Idea Trophy (South Africa and Africa), being named a Future Leaders League Finalist (London, UK), recognition by One Young World as one of the most outstanding young leaders in the world (The Hague, Netherlands) and more. Zulu believes youth-led businesses and innovations have played a crucial role in driving economic growth and empowering communities in South Africa. “From challenging stereotypes, removing rigid dogmas, redefining culture, influencing policy advocacy and driving emerging technologies, the role that young people play is tremendous.”
