Adore Her By G
In the heart of Atlantis, Jorgina Reyzana Heugh is showing how passion and purpose can transform lives—even in the face of adversity. When the COVID-19 pandemic left her unemployed, Heugh turned a setback into a launchpad. With just R18,000—partly donated by a stranger and partly loaned by her brother—she started Adore Her By G, a beauty brand focused on affordable, high-quality lashes and press-on nails. What began as a small venture quickly became a movement. Since 2021, Heugh has trained over 10,000 women through her lash and nail workshops, gifted more than 40 starter kits, and helped 55 women start their own lash businesses. “It’s more than lashes,” she says. “It’s about giving women the confidence and tools to change their lives.” Once doubted in her own community, Heugh has since been featured on Good Hope FM, supported by the Hollywood Foundation, and is an alum of the Raymond Ackerman Academy. Her clientele includes names like Salome and Elwira Standili. Her long-term vision is to build a pan-African beauty brand rooted in empowerment. With plans for a lash manufacturing line and a training academy, her dreams extend far beyond Atlantis. “I want women to believe they can start small and still make a big impact,” she says. From unemployed mom to award-nominated entrepreneur, Heugh’s journey is a story of resilience, self-belief, and community upliftment through beauty
