More info:

Kgomotso Olehile Ranchu is leading a quiet revolution in South African agriculture. At just 27, the Bloemfontein-based founder and CEO of Agricast Advisory Services is transforming the way small-scale farmers access resources, knowledge, and markets. Her roots trace back to Bethlehem, where she saw the daily grind of small farmers—driven, capable, but stuck without access. After attending a summer school at the University of São Paulo in Brazil, she returned home with a bigger vision: build a business that stands shoulder-to-shoulder with farmers and helps them grow. Agricast’s approach is hands-on and personal. It’s not about quick fixes—it’s about building legacies. So far, the company has helped over 160 farmers secure more than R50 million in funding, expand operations, and rebuild their confidence. Agricast now operates in Free State, Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal, North West, and Northern Cape. But it wasn’t easy. Rejected by banks, underestimated by peers, and caught in red tape, Kgomotso powered through. Earning Agriseta accreditation was a major milestone—proof of her persistence and commitment. Her long-term dream? Mobile AgriHubs for rural farmers, 10,000 farms led by women and youth, and launching Africa’s first Smallholder Farmer Stock Exchange. For her, farming isn’t just a job—it’s a movement.
